Reporting of Driver's Who Driver Thru the Midnight Hour
Encompass appears to handle 2nd shift drivers or those drivers who drive thru the midnight hour as if they work within the standard midnight - midnight time frame. This causes a lot of issues. One we use exempt status quite often and it kicks them off as it looks at the log from midnight-midnight. Next, it creates log violations when realistically there aren't any, i.e. didn't take 30 minute break when they should have remained in exempt status and the violation would not have occurred. Also, we like to run the Time In/Time Out Report to validate our Kronos payroll system but for those 2nd shift workers they almost always show starting at midnight and ending at midnight on that report which is of no value to us as they log in the evening and log out the next day early in the morning.

Amy Daley AdminHi Donna, as part of our work on the Canadian Mandate solution, we've included allowing drivers to have different daily log start times. This will allow you to indicate some drivers' log day as 12pm-12pm and others as 12am-12am, for example.
Even when running all 12am-12am, like you are setup now, I would not expect violations and being kicked out of exempt status. I am going to pass this along to our Customer Care team, as well.
