Reduce Number of Un-assigned Towable Unit DVIR's
Currently we have over 23,000 unassigned DVIR's for towed units, the main issue has to do with our company being set-up at a virtual level which we need based on our company structure. We attach to trailers that are interchanged between the virtual levels quite often, when that occurs if the driver and the trailer are not assigned to the same virtual level the trailer inspection is flagged as unassigned. We tried coaching the drivers up to leave a trailer number in the remarks section of the inspection without any success. We would like to see about having a trailer automatically being attached to the truck once the driver documents the trailer number when first logging into Encompass ELD. We are looking for a fail safe process to reduce the number of unassigned DVIR's for towable units mainly due to trailers being towed by drivers located in different virtual levels than what the unit is assigned to. This would also help when pulling a trailer belonging to another company.

Amy Daley AdminThank you for your feedback, Tom! This has been escalated up by the Customer Success team, as well. I certainly can see the need to reduce the number of unassigned DVIRs, by us better handling the trailers being shared across various levels of the hierarchy.
I also wanted to let you know, that we will have the ability in the next release for you to see the contents of those unassigned DVIRs, which was a request this past fall. I hope that will be helpful, as well.
